FASTEST GROWING IN AMERICA, 1990-2000
RELIGION
Factoid: Two of the fastest growing religions in the United States are Buddhism and Hinduism. The number of adherents in these religious communities increased by nearly 200 percent in just ten years — from 1990 to 2000. In contrast, the number of Americans who call themselves Christians increased a mere 5 percent during the same decade. In the same period, the number of Americans who no longer consider themselves religious in any way increased 110 percent.
