I’ve been trained and credential by Bob Logan’s international coaching organization, Coachnet.  Our church is currently using his coaching system and tools to develop coaching leaders in our congregation.  I am also a member of Ministry Coaching, International.

I’ve been using coaching in the context of ministry since 1999.  I have found it to be a powerful tool to help both staff and volunteers gain ownership for their own course of action.  It has transformed my role as pastor from trying to prod people into action, to a role of encourager and supporter for the course of action which they have wrestled through and chosen to follow on their own.  They are owning their own actions and making action plans to execute them.  I help them with the brainstorming, planning, selection and follow-through of their life & ministry plans.
